Town Meeting approved Article 19, which amends the regional agreement for the South Shore Regional Vocational School District to include the Town of Pembroke. Interim Town Manager Michelle Leary explained that adding a new member community to the district is a positive financial development for the current member towns, including Cohasset.

The amendment... adds the town of Pembroke to the agreement, therefore offsetting the expenses for many communities, Leary said. By expanding the district's membership, the fixed costs of operating the school are shared among a larger group of towns, potentially reducing the individual assessments for long-standing members. The change was approved without dissent.
