Article 18 secured funding for several projects recommended by the Community Preservation Committee (CPC). Tom Reirden, Chair of the CPC, presented a $11,225 request for baseline documentation at Salerno Woodlands, Wright Park, and Ingram Park. This documentation is a requirement for preserving the town's open spaces and ensuring they are managed according to conservation standards.
Additionally, the article allocated $25,000 for the installation of an ADA-compliant door at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library. This project aims to improve accessibility for all residents visiting the facility. Reirden also clarified for resident Leland Jenkins that a $257,750 bond payment included in the article is part of an existing 10-year bond obligation for a prior CPC project.
